We then take a boat west to enter Ireland. Ireland is a very independent nation where the main religion is Roman Catholicism. Their currency in Ireland is the EuroDollar. We travel through Ireland, including their capital city of Dublin.
We proceed north crossing into Northern Ireland, an important part of the United Kingdom where the primary religion is Protestantism and their currency is that of the United Kingdom which is the pound sterling.
We then travel by boat east to the Island of Great Britain (which is the countries of England, Wales and Scotland) back into England before proceeding north to Scotland. The religion in Scotland is Protestantism and their currency is the pound sterling.

Once again, why do we not have more developed toilet levers and shower levers like all of Europe I will never understand.
What a different and beatiful sink in York!
For the shower, once again, the 2 levers are not for hot and cold water, one is to set the water temperature, the other is to turn on both the hold and cold water.

From my Hotel in York
Stop at Stratford-Upon-Avone
After leaving the birthplace of Shakespeare, I then walked around the old city. Of course, I found a couple ice cream places!
We arrived in London at about 4 p;m. at the same hotel where we met 3 weeks ago. This gave me to settle a little bit, then walk-up towards the Tube Underground Station where I looked for something local to eat, but not just grab a pre-packaged sandwich as I've been doing for a few eeks. Of course, I ended-up at KFC. I walked up and down the street for a while, then made it back to the hotel to plan for my free day tomorrow!

Sratford-Upon-Avon
I could tell by looking at a map that most of today would be traveling. Ed, our guide, confirmed for you. We would have only one bathroom stop this morning on our way to the city Stratford-Upon-Avon. We would stop here for a couple hours, then we would head for London!
First, I should say that Stratford-Upon-Avon is where William Shakespeare, the world most well-known playwrite, was born and raised in the 1500s. Through Stratford, we first stopped at Anna Hathway's cottage. This is where Shakespeare's wife was born and caised. What a beautiful home from the 1500s! We then moved on to see the birthplace of William Shakespeare who is famous for 23 plays and many sonets.
I know this part of the trip would take 2-3 hours without any stops, so I did sleep on most of the trip. We departed from those with whom we have just spent 20 days in a row seeing one anothe for the most of every single day. This group is one, if not the most, noteworthy group with whom I've spent so much time. Everyone was just so supportive of one another each and every day! There were only abou t8 of us from the states, a couple from New Zealand, and the rest from Australia. How great and enjoyable this group was! And Ed, of course, was a teacher for teachers. I learned so much info from him that I can use in the clasroom!
(We are missing 2 from the group.)
