On the Countryside
West Highland
We stopped at the quaint village of West Highland for lunch. I had the small Scotch Pie. Of course, I found a couple ice cream places. I also walked through the beautiful Presbyterian Church.
Next, we visited a historical military site. When England became involved with WWII, the Queen asked for special people with high abilities to join a speical command squad that would be trained in this area of Scotland. This included people from UK lands around the world including South Africa, the India, etc. This site is a memorial for all of those who gave their lives in the war with Hitler and the Nazis from Germany.

Then, we made a stop at a castle that built in the 1200s, but destroyed in 4 times over the centuries. It would be refurbished in the 1920s. It is a castle used in the filming of many films including "Game of Thrones" and "Braveheart".

Lock Lomand
There was a beautiful parking structure next door, and across the street was their convention center which included the Ovo Hydro Stadium and other meeting sites.
What an incredibly beautiful site is Scotland. Now, we went to Lock Lomand and took a boat ride up the largest river on the Great Britain Island.
What a great, relaxing voyage this was through the island.

Isle of Skye
Finally, we arrived at the Island of Skye where we would be spending the night. Again, such a beautiful location! We crossed a rather modern bridge to touch the island in the far notherwest part of Scotland.
My room was very small...and so is their basic form of transportation.
I of course found some great ice cream while walking around out site.
